I am researching Beowulf, Beowulf was written by an anonymous person and or persons around the time of 700 C.E. The topic im going to disucss in this research paper is how the effect of media has on heros. I will be comparing the manuscript written version of Beowulf to the movie Beowulf directed by Robert Zemeckis and compare how the same hero is portrayed in each version and how others are portrayed.I plan on asking, How does Beowulf's rise to becoming a hero affect the rise to becoming a hero in todays novels?,What events in Beowulf's life define him as a hero?,and How does Beowulf's rise to leadership affect his personality?Does it change or remain the same?. I am finding from research that the rise to becoming a hero and the truth of being a hero has changed.
